JUAN DEL REY, renown attorney, was the founder of a family of intellectuals. He gave the world a successful professional in each one of his nine children. He was able to instill in them a deep love for learning, for reading, for exploring...He believed that EDUCATION is the key to the world progress and peace because it leads to the improvement of social and economic conditions, to a better world.
Born in Mexico City on 17 May, 1902, Juan del Rey grew up in a time of crisis, both for his country and for his family; young Juanito survived war and conflict s by immersing himself in his studies. School opened for him a world of possibilities and high hopes. He became the most brilliant student of the "Generalisimo Jose Maria Morelos School" in Mexico City. In fact, informed about his exceptional accomplishments, the President of Mexico, General Porfirio Diaz, himself, presented Juanito with a book and a medal at his graduation.
In spite of the distress and horrors caused by the Mexican Revolution (1910-1921), Juan could discharged little jobs while continuing his studies, convinced, as he was, that to succeed in life he had to improve his mind and acquire the necessary expertise to perform in a business geared world.
After building a name for himself as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), Mr del Rey decided to enhance his career with the wisdom of the Legal profession and became Attorney at Law. The inspiration of the noble words of Isaiah, the prophet, guided him through his professional life:"Make Justice your aim, redress the wronged, hear the orphan's plea, defend the widow" (Isaiah 1:16b). Well respected in the community, as well as in judicial circles, Juan del Rey left a mark or honesty and fair judgement, as he committed himself to corageous defense of the truth with honor and justice. several Presidents of the Mexican Republic requested his opinion and advise , which he dutifully gave them, but he managed to remain unattached to politics and never accepted any post.
